HERONS, IBISES, STORKS AND OTHERS
When seeking waders it is inevitable that we have come across many other wetland birds, these are the large (usually) obvious
ones, not necessarily closely related but usually very photogenic. Most are quite easily photographed, but some are rare and/or secretive. Bitterns, in particular, especially the smaller ones,
do like to spend most of their time hidden in reedbeds, whilst Ibises include some critically endangered species, thus this gallery is by no means comprehensive. I have also
included storks, unfortunately this does include some of the ugliest birds on the planet, although some are interesting if hardly elegant; also every spoonbill species comes in at the end.
