EASTERN CATTLE EGRET Bubulcus coromandelus

The species split from Western birds, the main distinguishing feature in the field is the bright orange-buff colouration on back, head and neck, especially in breeding dress. Whilst western birds show some colouration it is never so rich nor extensive. Occurs commonly in Asia and Australasia.
