Quite widespread throughout Asia from Pakistan to Japan and the Phillipines, but seemingly quite
uncommon, however whether this is due to a small population or its secretive nature isn't clear.
These record shots were taken in Hong Kong and Sri Lanka, in both cases it occurs alongside Yellow Bittern.
