AGAMI HERON Agamia agami

One of the most magnificent herons, with colourful plumage and long, dagger-like bill, Agamis rarely venture into open water and are thus difficult to observe. This bird was photographed in the Venezuelan Llanos, they occur over large parts of Central and South America.
