STRAW-NECKED IBIS Threskiornis spinicollis

A common Australian endemic, almost a pest in some areas. As with many ibises it can form large flocks, and shows iridescent feathering on the back and wings, although it is closely related to Sacred Ibis types which are predominantly white, being the only other member of the genus Threskiornis.
