BRIDLED TERN Onychoprion anaethetus

A tropical island breeder but absent from large areas of the Pacific. Similar to, but less pelagic than, Sooty Tern but slightly paler. Most colonies are of one or other species, but occasionally the two are found together. Juveniles are distinct from juvenile Sooties in having wholly white underparts.
