MONGOLIAN GULL Larus mongolicus

Recently split from Vega Gull, most of the population breeds in Mongolia but winters coastally through much of south-east Asia. Having thought we had seen the taxon in Hong Kong, it was particularly good to see colonies of adults in Mongolia, obviously they are being studied since several had wing-tags.
