LAVA GULL Leucophaeus furcatus

Endemic to the Galapagos Islands with a very small population of up to 400 pairs. Again a distinctive species but somewhat dull, being primarily grey at all ages. The head becomes darker with age, quite contrasting in adults, and white eye-rings stand out.
