DOLPHIN GULL Leucophaeus scoresbii

Found in southern areas of Chile, Argentina and the Falklands/Malvinas, this gull in breeding plumage has a distinctive red bill, set against a soft grey plumage which makes it unmistakeable. The head becomes dark in winter. All juvenile plumages and 1st year birds show no red on the bare parts.
