LATHAM'S SNIPE Gallinago hardwickii

Although I had a distant shot of this species in Kamchatka many years ago, it took until this year to catch up with birds in Australia, and get something half decent. Most of the population winters in Oz, these were on a small wetland in a suburb of Melbourne, where birds appeared in some numbers as the afternoon went on.
