The species known as Brant Goose (IOC 2024) is normally "split"
by UK birders into three or four (sub)species, although they hybridise freely so an official split is unlikely.
This is the bird breeding in North-east Siberia, Alaska and nw Canada, which normally winters in western
North America and Eastern Asia. However vagrancy is common, the bird on the right was taken in Norfolk, UK,
and is accompanied by three hybrid young.
