Pale-bellied Brents breed in northern Russia
and winter in Northwest Europe, including the UK. However they are outnumbered by the third
subspecies, dark-bellied, particularly in the south. These photos were all taken in the UK,
the centre birds on Shetland where they pass through on migration.
