WHITE-FACED STORM-PETREL Pelagodroma marina

Another widespread species, breeding on islands in both hemispheres, particularly around Australia and New Zealand and the North Atlantic. Quite easily identified, apart from the plumage it has extremely long legs which give it a very distinctive feeding action. There is a possibility that more than one species is involved. These were taken in the Humboldt Current, where they are not known to breed but probably originate from New Zealand populations.
