Venezuela

Venezuela is an ideal country for an initial foray into South America, boasting a wide range of habitats. Although we only had a short visit we did visit two of the best areas, Henri Pittier National Park (coastal rainforest) and the world famous Llanos. The Llanos in our opinion rates as one of the best birding sites in the world, probably because the wildlife has been protected for many years and is both prolific and approachable.
