HUDSONIAN WHIMBREL Numenius hudsonicus

The Nearctic equivalent of the widespread and familiar Whimbrel, this has been split from the nominate race by some authorities. Presumably the species would also include variegatus from Eastern Russia, which is similar in its lack of white rump and also fully-barred underwing. I think it's a good species.
