"SIBERIAN" COMMON TERN Sterna hirundo longipennis

The black-billed race of Common Tern found in Eastern Asia, and wintering in Australia. There are a number of other slight differences, the bill is shorter and the legs reddish-brown, but as it tends to intergrade with other races to the east there is little suggestion of a split.
