COLLARED PLOVER Charadrius collaris

A small, slim ringed-type Plover found over much of Central and South America east of the Andes plus a small population on the Chilean coastal plain. It is usually found near wetlands or rivers often breeding on sandbars. The right hand bird was on an Amazonian sandbar, all others on the Tarcoles estuary in Costa Rica.
