INDIAN CORMORANT Phalacrocorax fuscicollis

A strange patchy distribution from Pakistan, parts of India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Cambodia and Vietnam, but this is probably largely due to its preference for lowland sites, either inland freshwater or estuaries and mangroves. Intermediate in size between Little and Great Cormorants, both of which may be found in the same areas, but markedly smaller than Great. A blue-green eye is usually a definitive identification mark.
