LESSER CRESTED TERN Thalasseus bengalensis

Like a Crested Tern with an orange bill, but somewhat smaller. Its range is also mainly in the Tropics, but it is absent from most Pacific islands, instead extending into the Mediterranean, which probably accounts for the British records.
