The familiar grey goose, found on almost every body of water in
England. All are feral, but genuine breeders do occur further north, the party of juveniles was taken in Scotland.
It is the most southerly breeder of the grey geese, in a band from Iceland to China, and wintering south. The other
birds here are Icelandic breeders which winter in Shetland.
