Breeding on several islands in Galapagos, a locally common endemic. Dispersal
is to coasts of Central America, but there is no specific breeding season since birds have a 9-month cycle and it varies between
colonies. There are two morphs, with light and dark underwings, which show behavioural differences ("light" attends cliff-face
colonies by day whereas "dark" breeds inland and attends nests at night. This may result in two species one day....
