Only discovered in 1963, this bird is endemic to Reunion Island (with possibly a few pairs on Mauritius, but unproven). If you get there it is probably the easiest Pterodroma in the world to see, as they perform just offshore in the late afternoon before flying inland to colonies in the mountains.
