MAGELLANIC PENGUIN Spheniscus magellanicus

Another burrow nester, the least endangered of the genus, and probably the most widespread, breeding on southern coasts of Argentina and Chile, Tierra del Fuego and the Falklands/Malvinas. It is readily distinguished from others by the double breastband, although this feature is very occasionally found on both African and Humboldt penguins.
