Far more easily seen than its larger cousin, and somewhat more colourful, this slightly smaller bird breeds in similarly large colonies but in more northerley latitudes, being circumpolar on subantarctic islands. South Georgia, Falklands/Malvinas and Macquarie hold notable colonies. |
