Closely related to the previous species, this abundant "guano bird" occurs coastally in the Humboldt Current. It was formerly
found in Argentina but is now thought extinct there. Sedentary under normal conditions, foraging up to 30km in the Current, in bad "El Nino" years it has been found from Panama
to southern Chile, and even on rivers inland.
