MAGNIFICENT PETREL Pterodroma (brevipes) magnificens

The previously mentioned "new" species, found in a small area near New Ireland. Whether or not a good species, the plumage is very distinctive and the bird is aptly named. It is probably not that rare, as many specimens already exist labelled as Collared, indeed these photos were taken before the relevant paper was published. Wish we'd thought of it!
