GALAPAGOS PETREL Pterodroma phaeopygia

Endemic to the Galapagos Islands and considered critically endangered, this bird disperses towards the coasts of Central and South America, being found further north than the previous species. Easily separated provided the underwing is seen, it is far more difficult to distinguish from Hawaiian Petrel, with which it was lumped, but the ranges only overlap slightly.
