RED-FOOTED BOOBY Brown phase Sula sula

Seemingly not as widespread as the white phases and not found in the Carribean, but birds are common on Galapagos, where these were taken. Juveniles of all morphs fledge dark brown, white phase birds seem to attain their adult plumage in their third calendar year, brown birds may develop pale heads but whether birds progressively lighten is not known.
