CAPE GANNET Morus capensis

Smaller than Northern Gannet, also nesting in large colonies on offshore islands. However only six locations are known, leading it to be classified as Endangered. The three Namibia colonies have declined by 84% in less than fifty years, but those in South Afica have increased, giving an overall slight increase. Birds are known to wander, there have been several Australian colonies, but a British record, despite claims, has never been proven. A good view of the secondaries and tail should clinch it, the long gular stripe is "icing on the cake". Please excuse the poor photos, a Namibian pelagic in poor weather.
