UK BUTTERFLIES

We have always had an interest in butterflies but only from the point of view of noticing what we see. I did start to travel a bit in search of them with Mike, but now it's just a case of whatever we come across. We get a lot in the garden, and once had 24 Peacocks on one Buddleia, but as with everywhere numbers fluctuate greatly. Not all the photos below are taken in the UK but are on the UK list, species recorded in Sutton Bridge are bordered in orange.
