An uncommon goose wintering mainly in eastern Europe, vagrants to the UK are almost annual, but numbers are variable, in some years there are none.
I have photographed several, but some are not "genuine", as there is a small feral population, which does breed, since a family party was seen at Frampton, two adults with five juveniles.
Birds are most often with Brent Geese, which may or may not be approachable. Birds can be surprisingly difficult to find, especially if feeding.
