An Alaskan breeder migrating to the west coast of the Americas and islands of
the Pacific, occasionally reaching New Zealand and Australia, where its close relative,
Grey-tailed Tattler, is far commoner. Whilst the latter has reached Britain, Wandering Tattler
is still unrecorded here, but there is a possibility of its turning up, since the breeding area
is very close, and may extend to, E.Siberia. From there a reverse migration could
bring it to Western Europe.
