MARBLED GODWIT Limosa fedoa

This species is far commoner than the previous one, but not such a long-distance migrant. It is readily seen in North America since many non-breeders remain in wintering areas, most breed inland, mainly near pools on the prairies, and migrate to coasts as far south as Panama. Readily identified by the cinnamon colouration in the plumage, including most non-breeders.
