AFRICAN or SENEGAL WATTLED PLOVER Vanellus senegallus

Another common species in Africa, found in damp grassland and marsh edges. Breeding over large parts of Western and Central Africa as far south as South Africa, its breeding season varies depending on rainfall. For the same reason a few populations are sedentary, but most move with the rains.
