Another beautiful goose with a restricted range in a
relatively inaccesible area, Western Alaska and Eastern Siberia. There is little movement in winter,
although a few occur in Washington state and vagrants turn up on the California coast. Obviously captive birds,
one of these had escaped and spent a few years living in Suffolk.
