Perhaps one of the better candidates for full species status, as DNA work shows significant differences, it breeds only on Inaccessible and Gough in the Tristan group, where a population of about 2500 pairs occurs. They also tend to be a warmer latitude species, overlapping with other Wanderers only on the Eastern littoral of South America.
